We have no fuel shortage, and the price is not too high either!
Don’t shot the messenger. North Americans drive cars1.5 to 2.5 times larger than needed. A majority of cars AND trucks are sold with an Automatic Transmission. Still a majority of driven miles is solo; alone.
In Europe where very little oil is produced, the pump price ranges from $1.85 CAN t $2.50 CAN per litre. That works out to be, over say an average Canadian fuel cost of $1.25 CAN per litre, between 48% and 100% higher in Europe than here! Oh wait! We use between 48% and 100% more fuel driving heavier, wider, longer, higher, and with mostly Automatic Transmissions.
Uhh errr so. Think how cheap it would be if we had some of those cars!
And probably no Java holders either. Weight is weight.
Oh and, see this?
