As I am sure you and the rest of the modern world is aware that I am the owner outright, inventor and chief instructor in the ways of Patented Textured Lawn. Take close note of that title. In no way shape or form do I imply, intone, denote, exemplify, fracture, foist upon, deliver the meaning, or state that the lawn or the process is patented.
It is simply the name of the process. It is not a thing you can touch. It is not something you can pick up and toss about. When you employ a specific technique, you will end up with a lawn which looks patterned and textured. You can state that to get this impression you need to employ the practice of Patented Textured Lawn.
Sharpen your mind, then sharpen you blade. In the spring a dull blade is like a sledge hammer on a finishing nail. Slip off the ole blade a coupleāa times a year and take it over to the bench grinder and buff it up. Take a mill bastard file and take the burr off. Oil up the shaft and push it back on, tighten the bolt and away you go.
Remembering always that if you are tilting the mower up to remove the blade, always tilt the mower with the exhaust up. This will negate you losing a lot of oil into the head or onto your drive-way. Either will be an irritant for a few hours.
Clean the wheels and lube them up. Many a stuck wheel has chewed up some spring lawns.
They say, mow low a couple of times in the spring, then high in the summer. Longer lawns need less watering, fewer mowings and is overall healthier grass.
No charge for the opinions today. Standard rates apply if you want Patented Textured lawn on your plot.
